About the Executive Committee
The Executive Committee is comprised of 15 members representing city and county leadership and key community and public partners. Eight of the members are drawn from the Gulf Regional Planning Commission’s Metropolitan Planning Organization Policy Committee and the remaining seven members are representatives of public stakeholders with regional interests.
The Executive Committee is the decision-making body for the Plan and has the authority to vote to approve plan objectives, plan implementation strategies, accept text and other deliverables for inclusion in the final plan documentation, and resolve issues that create conflict and impediments to the progress to achieving the sustainable goals and objectives. Each committee member has one vote.
The Committee meets quarterly. Agendas and locations for the meetings are posted at least five days in advance and minutes are posted a maximum of one week after meetings. The public is encouraged to attend Executive Committee meetings.
